These are very young Trochus snails, about 1.5mm in diameter. That is very small. No larger than a semicolon in 12 font Times New Roman. Half the size of Lincoln's head on a penny. It will take them approximately 2 years to reach full size, but will be a good size after one year. At this size, they are not cost effective cleaners, but more of a curiosity.
Trochus snails consume film algae, hair algae, diatoms and some species of cyanobacteria. These snails are excellent for cleaning the rocks and glass of your aquarium.
The Trochus grow to a little over the size of a quarter.
