what is it? stick bug or plant? 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Just wondering what could look like a small twig but twitch and move like a living creature. I've tried to get a pic but its hiding in my plants most of the time. It's ably 1/2 inch long and super thin. Is there such a thing as a salt water walking stick because that's what it seems to resemble. It has moved from plant to coral to rock. I have one in my 10gal and recently found one in my 30gal. What could they be?

sounds like a caprellid amphipod, aka skeleton shrimp. They are good guys, they do look like drunk stick figures when walking. If you see one loose from the plant they swim like horses run, galloping about the tank.
