Our current rates are $9.50 for Priority Mail, and $28 for Express Mail. These are flat rates and will not change depending on zip code or how much you order, unless the order qualifies for free shipping as outlined below. 

Priority Mail is a 2-3 day service. There is a $5 minimum order for Priority Mail orders.

Express Mail is usually overnight, but takes 2 days to some areas. You can check how fast Express Mail is to your area here. (Leave your zip code the same, but you MUST change the date to the next shipping date to get an accurate result). Because Express Mail labels cost more than the $28 flat rate we charge, there is a $25 minimum order on Express Mail orders. 

 We have 4 free shipping options open to customers outside the state of FL or residing in the FL panhandle:

 Free Priority Mail -

If your order is over $50 after discounts are applied you can enjoy free Priority Mail shipping. Not all items can be shipped with Priority Mail though. Hermit crabs, chitons, limpets, conchs, turbos, urchins, zoas, crabs, shrimp, sea hares and certain macro algae CANNOT be shipped with Priority Mail. ANY ITEM MARKED WITH A * ON OUR WEBSITE WILL DISQUALIFY YOU FROM SELECTING PRIORITY MAIL, SO YOU WONT BE ABLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS PARTICULAR PROMOTION IF YOU PURCHASE ONE OF THOSE PRODUCTS. Additionally you should see bold red lettering warning that the particular item is Express Mail only in the long version of the product description. Rock purchases do not count towards this threshold.

Free Express Mail-

If your order is over $175 you can enjoy free Express Mail shipping. Please do not choose this method unless your order is over $175 though. Express Mail is very expensive and we don't really run a very high margin so we won't be able to discount this service further than the already discounted flat rate price of $28 unless your order is actually higher than $175 after discounts are applied. Rock purchases do not count towards this threshold.

Group Buy-

A Group Buy is a purchase between two or more people that will have their orders combined into one shipment in order to save on shipping. One person, the Coordinator, is responsible for accepting the package and distributing items to the other group buy members. Free Shipping Applies to all group orders with a combined total value of $200 or more. The discrepancy between the individual free shipping rate and the higher group buy rate is because group buys cost significantly more to ship than individual orders.

Quick Crews-

Quick Crews are our bundeled clean up crew packages that ship free. They come with Priority or Express Mail, depending on their requirements. The free shipping service that comes with that particular Quick Crew will be mentioned in the product description, as well as the product chart here. You may add any items with your quick crew order and retain free shipping as long as those items are compatible with the quick crew shipping. (If you order a quick crew that comes with Priority Mail you will be charged for additional shipping if you add an item with a * next to its name to it. If your quick crew comes with Express Mail you can add any items and they would still ship for free.)

Unfortunately the reduced shipping rates available to most of Florida are not available to Panhandle addresses, and the rates that hold for the rest of the country apply to this area. Currently, Priority Mail is $9.50, Express Mail is $28.

Florida, outside of the Panhandle

Free shipping is available to all FL residents that reside outside of the panhandle whose order (that doesn't contain rock), is over $50. Ships with UPS, and it is next day PM delivery. If your order is less than $50 shipping it is only $5 for overnight service with UPS with a $10 order minimum.  Certain items that are particularly fragile though, like shrimp and starfish would benefit from USPS Express Mail, Than handling is better, and the order will arrive in the AM.

How fast is Express Mail to my area? Follow the link here it opens in a new page. Make Sure to change the date to the next shipping date, to the scheduled shipping date your received by email. Your package is shipping from the 34994 zip code.

UPS in Florida to locations outside of the Panhandle, east of the Big Bend are overnight, with afternoon delivery.

What is Safe to Send With Priority Mail? Items that do not have a star next to their name can be shipped with Priority Mail. Items marked with stars require Express Mail, or UPS ground in Florida (excluding the Panhandle).

How Do I request a Later Shipping Date? Immediately before the "Confirm Order" button on our website you will find a comments box, you can request any shipping date you would like there and we will talk to you about it. However, weekends and holidays present some scheduling conflicts. No worries, you will receive human confirmation of all orders and a shipping day.

My order is over $50, why isn't shipping free? - check to see if there is an items with a star * next to it's name. For example, "Blue Leg Hermits*" These items cannot be shipped with free Priority mail.
